A Bone Cancer Victim Who Wanted to Die Pretty

For some people, life can be tragically cut shorter than others, but there are very few who would smile when death takes them. Racine Pregunta, died at the age of 20 earlier this week after battling with osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer.

Pregunta was a student of Mass Communication and was diagnosed with cancer in 2016. Pregunta remained strong and optimistic with her struggle against bone cancer that ravaged her young body. Despite of losing a leg in an early cancer stage, she remained determined and hopeful to survive.

Pregunta knew she wouldn’t survive long enough, so she had other alternative that would make her happy. “If I die, I want to die BEAUTIFUL” were her words that made many people hearts melt down.

Her second wish for a flower crown and white off-shoulder dress could not be met by the family because they were unable to afford it. Paolo Ballesteros, a Filipino actor granted her wish in the exact same manner as requested by Pregunta along with a card that read, “You are beautiful.”

On top of that, she requested her personal make-up artist to do her make-up before her funeral.

But what led Pregunta to decide on the special funeral arrangement? Pregunta was inspired by the movie ‘Die Beautiful’. In the movie, a transgender women dies while being crowned in a beauty pageant.

She lost her battle with cancer on 17th April but a heartbreaking picture clearly reveals a smile on her face before putting to rest beside her father.

Racine Pregunta remains an inspiration to people who are struggling with cancer. Today, her request has been fulfilled and she now stays beautifully forever.

She will always remain in our hearts.
